In 2022 we treated 7,542 casualties, our 2nd highest annual figure in our 39 year history.

The current cost of living crisis is having a huge impact on us and many other charities.

We cannot pass on the rising costs to our ‘customers’ as other businesses are having to do as we do not make any charge for the service we offer,

instead we rely on the support and generosity of the public to enable us to continue our work, as we have done for the past 39 years.

Our service is needed more than ever before as our wildlife increasingly suffers due to human increase and encroachment.

  We desperately need more support to raise over £60,000 monthly running costs (£1,972 PER DAY) –

   we are not funded by the government or any other organisation.

We are only able to continue the work that we do with the help of public support. We do not receive any funding towards the £60,000 monthly running costs so donations are a vital form of income for the charity. If you are a UK taxpayer, don’t forget to fill in a Gift Aid declaration which will enable us to claim a further 25p in every £1 given (follow the link at the bottom of this page).

Becoming a Member of Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre keeps you up-to-date with what is going on in the hospital, the casualties undergoing treatment and the stories of some of the rescues we have been involved with. Members receive regular Newsletters full of information about the casualties coming into the Hospital, articles on various wildlife species, details of upcoming fundraising events plus much more.

As a paid-up member you are also able to have a ‘behind the scenes’ look at what goes on within the hospital (by arrangement). For obvious reasons we are not open to the public (this would be extremely detrimental to the well-being of the wild animals in our care) so this is the only opportunity, apart from our occasional Open Days, to see what actually goes on on a day-to-day basis, watch our staff, vet and volunteers at work and see the hundreds of animals that are receiving care.

Our Members are vital to us, giving us a regular income and helping to fund all the work that we do at Vale.

Paying your subscription by direct debit or standing order also saves us precious funds, as does having your Newsletters delivered by email rather than by snail mail.

Membership costs just £20 per year (£12.50 for Senior Citizens) Lifetime Membership is £250.00.
