IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Veterinary surgeons who have qualified outside the UK (with an RCVS recognised qualification) are able practice in the UK for up to 3 months in any 12-month period on a ‘visiting registration’, providing they are registered in their own member state. To practice in the UK for periods exceeding 3 months, overseas veterinary surgeons would have to apply (and pay) for permanent registration. Further information is available from: https://www.rcvs.org.uk/registration/applications-veterinary-surgeons/.

Overseas graduates are only required to complete the PDP if they are intending to register with the RCVS for a period in excess of three months.

Veterinary surgeons on placement at Vale Wildlife Hospital are expected to practice in accordance with the charity’s Standard Operating Procedures and Practice Guidelines, under the direction of Vale Wildlife Hospital’s veterinary surgeon.

Proof of qualification and eligibility to practice (including your registration number) will be required before commencement of placements at Vale Wildlife Hospital.
