They are available to anyone studying, involved with or interested in wildlife rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer work experience placements to school pupils.
The minimum age for placement applicants is 18 years.
Placements can be for a minimum of 1 week (maximum of 4 weeks unless
by special arrangement), between 1st March and 31st October each year.
As the autumn and winter months are very quiet at the Hospital, the benefits to students
at this time of year are limited and we therefore do not offer placements from the
beginning of November until the end of February.
Please note that placements are highly sought after and often get booked
up more than 12 months in advance.
We can offer shared accommodation on-site for a maximum of 2 students
at a cost of £70 per week (or part-week) per student, payable in advance.
A list of other local accommodation is available on request.
Students are required to work Mondays to Fridays from 8am - 5pm.
If you would like to be considered for a placement, please return the
completed application form to us.
If possible, give a second choice of dates in case your first choice is already fully booked.
You will be contacted by post or email within 14 days of receipt of your application to let
you know if your application has been successful.
