VALE WILDLIFE HOSPITAL NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT:
We are currently caring for over 300 hedgehogs at Vale
with several more being admitted every day.
Our resources are being stretched to the limit – the average cost of feeding just one hedgehog
is around £5 per week (with care and medication costs on top of this).
With more than 300 in, the food bill for hedgehogs alone is a staggering £1,500 PER WEEK.
And don’t forget we also have another 100 casualties in care besides our prickly friends.
Without public support we will very quickly run out of money!
PLEASE HELP US TO GET THROUGH THIS WINTER –
ANY DONATION, HOWEVER SMALL, WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
If you can help, donations can be made by clicking this link:
Or:
• By cheque, payable to ‘Vale Wildlife Hospital’ and sent to our usual address
• Via Paypal – our Paypal address is onlinesales@valewildlife.org.uk
• By card – please ring us with the details
Your continued support is vital to us and is hugely appreciated – Thank you.
Do you have open days so we can bring our grandchildren to see where their donations are used ?
Our next Open Day is on Sunday 1st July 2018. However, paid up members of Vale can have a behind the scenes look round by arrangement.
How do you rehome hedgehogs that have been rescued ?
Most of the hedgehogs we treat are released back to where they came from. If this isn’t possible for some reason we find suitable gardens/areas to release them.
Hi,was just wondering if you need a suitable garden to release hedgehogs into I would be very willing to offer mine. We live on a very quiet country lane in eckington well away from busy roads with a wildlife friendly garden. We have had hedgehogs in the past hence hubby has made a few houses for them dotted around the garden but would dearly love to encourage more…if we can help with rehoming please let me know, many thanks x
